The Victron Multiplus-II 48V 10000VA 140+100A Inverter is a self-consumption hybrid system where energy is stored with batteries.

Characteristics of the Victron Multiplus-II 48V 10000VA 140+100A Inverter
The Victron Multiplus-II 48V 10000VA 140+100A Inverter is an ideal component for a self-consumption hybrid installation with batteries and fully guarantees us its operation. The Multiplus-II series is a multifunctional inverter charger that has obtained electrical certifications in many countries, allowing it to be used as a grid-tied energy storage system (ESS). It also combines the functions of Victron PowerControl and PowerAssist.
As mentioned above, it can be used in grid-connected PV systems as well as off-grid PV systems, and is compatible with solar charge controllers and grid-connected inverters (such as Fronius). This inverter by itself can provide up to 10000VA of output power, but with the PowerAssist function, it can provide more output power by increasing the power of the AC input and the battery so as not to overload the external grid input. Likewise, it can work with 48V batteries and has an internal battery charger of 140A at 48V.
Due to its function as UPS, it can provide uninterruptible power output, because the switching speed is very fast, so it will not affect the critical consumption. It is important to point out that it cannot be used in three-phase networks or work in parallel.
Operation of the Victron MultiPlus-II 48V 10000VA 140+100A Inverter
The MultiPlus-II inverter can work under any common energy storage topology. Optionally, a current sensor is offered to be able to limit the alternating current input according to our needs, since the transfer and charging power of the MultiPlus-II can be excessive for the current available. The most common application of this type of inverter is the following:
MultiPlus-II used as UPS in applications with critical loads. In this case, the charger inverter can have the usual loads, powered by the conventional electrical network, and have an energy storage system (battery) that will power the critical loads if the network fails or is unstable.
Consideration should be given to whether any limitation to the AC input must be applied to a safe value by means of the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions.

Connected to the electrical network and with photovoltaic through MPPT regulator. In this case, the photovoltaic inverter will use the information provided by the toroidal current sensor and thus optimize self-consumption, converting the energy into alternating current and using it directly for consumption.
Thanks to this, we will be able to choose whether to pour the excess solar production into the electricity grid. The batteries are recharged with solar panels and the consumption can be divided among the critics; always fed even with cuts in the supply and the normal ones, which can also be fed with the energy produced by the panels.

Inverter Monitoring Victron MultiPlus-II 48V 10000VA 140+100A
Through the ColorControl Panel you can have maximum control of the operation of the solar installation. From there you can configure, load the operating parameters and be able to monitor the performance of the entire system. All this can be seen on the screen with more detailed information on production, consumption, storage, etc.

By including the Victron ColorControl Panel or any complement such as the Cerbo GX or Venus GX, you will have access to the VRM portal to have access to the monitoring and configuration of the system from any Internet access terminal. Alarms can also be received by email.

Inverter Compatibility Victron Multiplus-II 48V 10000VA 140+100A
Multiplus-II can work with any 48V battery on the market. Additionally, the inverter can be configured to charge any lead or lithium battery with fully configurable charging algorithms.
It is strongly recommended to use a Victron brand MPPT charge controller. In this way, in the ColorControl panel or monitoring system that we have, to have the photovoltaic production of the system in detail.
If the photovoltaic inverter is used as a solar generator, it is recommended to use Fronius products, although it is also compatible with other well-known brands in the industry, such as Kostal.
In the ColorControl and VRM portals, we can also monitor the production of photovoltaic inverters without any problem. There is also compatibility with more manufacturers, such as Schneider; the compatibility table is available on the Victron website, which is updated regularly.
