Information Inverter Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW
The Kostal Piko MP Plus range of hybrid inverters have a great capacity to adapt thanks to their power classes of 1.5 and 4.6kW, and are therefore ideal for photovoltaic installations in single-family homes and can be used from 11 solar panels. The production stability of this range of inverters and its wide input voltage range allow multiple connection possibilities for photovoltaic modules.
The Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW inverter is prepared to work in single-phase grid connection installations, that is, in those installations in which it is desired that the consumption made during the daytime hours in which the solar panels receive radiation solar is taken as a source of supply the energy supplied by solar panels, by internal technology.
This Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW inverter can work with high-voltage batteries if desired, thanks to the Smart Energy Meter to achieve energy autonomy, also on days with less solar radiation and at night.
The Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW inverter has a screen on the front that records the data and allows the monitoring of the installations, network interfaces and integrated regulation as standard. Monitoring is free through Kostal Solar Portal, Kostal Solar App and the internal Webserver.
The Kostal Piko MP Plus 4.6kW hybrid inverter integrates two PMP or MPPT, which means that the solar panels can be divided into two different groups and connected to the inverter, so that the inverter itself is capable of both groups working at their point efficiency at all times without deviations between the different groups affecting the overall performance of the solar installation.
This is very useful when you want to install solar panels with two different inclinations or in different locations, so that depending on the time of day one group receives more solar radiation than another.

Technical Characteristics Inverter Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW
The Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW inverter is part of the KOSTAL PIKO PLUS range of inverters, it is a pure sine wave hybrid single-phase inverter that can work with high-voltage batteries and allows connection to the grid with zero injection. The Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW inverter efficiently manages the operation of the installation. It includes monitoring of the photovoltaic installation through the KOSTAL Solar Portal, the Kostal Solar App and the internal Webserver.
The Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW inverter is capable of working at a nominal photovoltaic power of 4.74kW and a maximum power of 6.9kW. It is an inverter that works in a voltage range between 75 and 750V. The inverter incorporates two MPPT charge regulators, where each of them has nominal power in the mode of a follower between 360 and 600V.
The Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW inverter works at a nominal 20A output current that matches its maximum output power. The efficiency of the inverter is 96.9%.

Battery Compatibility with Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW Inverter
This functionality is still under development by the manufacturer, we will update for more information:
As specified above, batteries can be connected to the Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW inverter to achieve energy autonomy, also during night hours and on days when consumption is higher than photovoltaic production, since the energy that has been produced and not consumed is accumulated in the batteries.
The batteries compatible with the Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW inverter are high voltage, specifically the compatible models are BYD HV batteries. The possibility of connecting batteries to the inverter will be operational from September 2019, as it is a functionality that is in process.

The weight and dimensions of the Kostal Piko MP Plus 1.5kW 1 MP inverter make it an inverter that is recommended to have the necessary means for its correct handling and installation to avoid injuries. Specifically, this reverse measures 657 x 399 x 222mm and weighs 14Kg.

Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW Inverter Installation
The connection ports on the bottom of the Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW inverter are:

The installation of the Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW inverter is easy, fast and safe thanks to its intuitive operation through the menu and integrated screen, as long as you have basic notions about it, since it is not necessary to open the equipment for its configuration. And start-up.
Improper installation may cause power reduction or damage to the inverter. It is recommended that the inverter be installed in its natural position on a smooth horizontal non-flammable surface that is not subject to permanent vibrations, as well as that the equipment be protected from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. For a better reading of the screen, it is recommended that the lighting is correct.
Make sure that the wall where the installation is to be carried out has the necessary measurements:

The steps to follow for the correct fixing of the Kostal Piko 4.6-2 MP Plus 4.6kW inverter are:
1. Fix the mounting plate (4) with 4 screws (3) on the mounting surface. The retaining plate (1) is shown facing up.
2. Place the inverter on the mounting plate.
3. Hook the locating bolts on the rear side of the inverter into the locating tabs (2) on the mounting plate.
4. Press the inverter against the mounting plate. The latching lug on the rear of the inverter latches audibly into the retaining plate (1).
It is recommended that the assembly and installation be carried out by a professional with experience in the sector. You can carry out the installation and start-up of the system yourself or someone you trust, or the AutoSolar team of installers can carry out both the assembly and the installation and start-up.
