The Kostal Plenticore Plus 7kW Inverter, three-phase grid connection, stores the photovoltaic production in a high-voltage battery.

Information Inverter 7kW Kostal Plenticore Plus
Kostal’s range of three-phase hybrid inverters, the Plenticore MP Plus range, represents a new evolution with respect to the previous IQ range within the low-power three-phase inverter models. Available between 4.2kW and 10kW, they are ideal for photovoltaic installations in single-family homes and small installations in companies that need a three-phase self-consumption system. They can be used with any type of solar panels.
The production stability of this range of inverters, the differentiation that involves integrating 3 MPPT regulators compared to other solutions on the market and that they also have a wide input voltage range, make this Kostal inverter a very versatile solution to get the maximum performance of our photovoltaic modules.
The 7kW Kostal Plenticore Plus Inverter is prepared to work in three-phase network connection installations, that is, in those installations in which it is desired that the consumption made during the daytime hours in which the solar panels receive solar radiation be taken as supply source the energy supplied by solar panels, by internal technology.
This 7kW Kostal Plenticore Plus Inverter can work with high-voltage batteries if desired, thanks to the Smart Energy Meter to achieve energy autonomy, also on days with less solar radiation and at night.
The 7kW Kostal Plenticore Plus Inverter has a screen and 6 buttons on its front. From it its start-up is configured and it allows the monitoring of the installations, network interfaces and all its main functions. Monitoring is free through Kostal Solar Portal, Kostal Solar App and the internal Webserver.
The 7kW Kostal Plenticore Plus Inverter is of the hybrid type, as it allows direct operation with high-voltage batteries without the need for any additional interface. It integrates three PMP or MPPT, which means that the solar panels can be divided into three different groups and connected to the inverter, so that the performance of each group does not affect the others.
This gives us greater versatility while reducing the minimum operating threshold of the regulators so that the series do not have to be as long.
The inverter itself is capable of all the groups of panels, if the available trackers are used, working at their efficiency point at all times without deviations between them and without affecting the performance of the solar installation as a whole.
This functionality is very useful when you want to install solar panels with different inclinations or locations that are not optimal, since in these cases, depending on the time of day, one group receives more solar radiation than another.

Technical Characteristics Inverter 7kW Kostal Plenticore Plus
The 7kW Kostal Plenticore Plus Inverter is the smallest model within Kostal’s Plenticore range, where all models are three-phase and with the possibility of working with storage in a high-voltage battery.
The third panel input, once enabled with an activation code that must be purchased separately, supports connection to a high-voltage battery compatible with the Kostal Plenticore Plus inverter. In addition, in conjunction with the energy measurement wattmeter, a more precise control of self-consumption can be made to maximize photovoltaic performance and reduce energy dependence on the electricity grid to a minimum.
The 7kW Kostal Plenticore Plus Inverter manages the operation of the installation very efficiently, and we can observe it thanks to the monitoring of the photovoltaic installation through the KOSTAL Solar Portal, the Kostal Solar App and the inverter’s internal Webserver that integrates communications to access to information from anywhere.
The 7kW Kostal Plenticore Plus Inverter is capable of working at a nominal photovoltaic power of 7.22kW output and with a maximum power of 10.5kW from photovoltaic. It is an inverter that works in a voltage range between 120 and 1000V. As we have mentioned before, the inverter incorporates three MPPT charge regulators, where each one of them has a different nominal power depending on how many trackers we use. Due to its power characteristics, this inverter must be used with 2 trackers.
PMP range with nominal power using two trackers: Between 290 and 720Vmp.
PMP range with nominal power using three followers: Between 195 and 720Vmp.
The efficiency of the inverter is 96.5%.

Battery Compatibility with 7kW Kostal Plenticore Plus Inverter
As specified above, the Kostal Plenticore Plus 7kW Inverter can only be connected to high-voltage lithium batteries that are compatible and previously activated, acquiring the necessary code through Kostal.
This functionality is very useful to maximize self-consumption, and it is advisable to use it whenever the photovoltaic installation is oversized to the consumption that we have on a regular basis. This way we will have a better energy autonomy, also the night hours and the days in which the consumption is higher than the photovoltaic production.
The surplus production that is not used is used to recharge the lithium battery that will supply us later. At the moment the batteries compatible with the 7kW Kostal Plenticore Plus inverter are high voltage, specifically and at the moment the compatible models are the BYD HV batteries.

Physical Characteristics Inverter 7kW Kostal Plenticore Plus
The 7kW Kostal Plenticore Plus Inverter has a high resolution screen that allows the correct configuration of the inverter, a simple start-up and a subsequent display of information in a simple and direct way. In its upper part, it incorporates a current disconnector that allows the passage or not of the incoming power from the panels. This allows us to safely disconnect from the system.
The weight and dimensions of the 7kW Kostal Plenticore Plus Inverter make it an inverter that is recommended to have the necessary means for its correct handling and installation to avoid injuries. Specifically, this inverter measures 563 x 405 x 233mm and weighs 21.6Kg.
